A Hole in Mars
We’ve studied the red planet for decades, yet it’s still full of surprises. On the slopes of Pavonis Mons, a Martian volcano, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter snapped this image of a crater over a subterranean cavern (which we have no idea of its extent).
If we want a doorway to where Martian life might hang out (or life’s remnants), this would be a good candidate.
